Asante’s EAP program offers virtual support through a text bot
It’s no secret that the past year has been hard on us all. We’re all looking for ways to support each other and ourselves.
Reliant Behavioral Health, the company that administers Asante’s Employee Assistance Plan, has a chatbot named “Tess” that provides emotional support and check-ins over text messaging to boost your wellness. Tess is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to talk to you whenever and wherever you need.
The feature allows you to:
- Chat with Tess for unbiased emotional support
- Build resilience and self-awareness by practicing coping skills at your convenience
- Get personalized support because the more you chat with Tess, the more she will get to know your needs and preferences
- Find resources relevant to your needs
To get started, text “Hi” to (650) 825-9634, and use the company code “Asante.” The bot will ask you a series of questions, then delve more deeply into your area of concern. The conversation is informal (Tess makes use of emoticons and emojis), but contains insights and solutions similar to in-person counseling.
