Asante launches campaign to encourage COVID-19 vaccination

With the theme “Help Bring Us Back Together,” the campaign is part educational, part aspirational as we look toward a future without COVID-19.

Remember when we could celebrate a son’s wedding? Send our fourth-grader to school? Spend the holidays together? Hug an aging parent in a nursing home?

Those days are in our past — and with the help of a COVID-19 vaccine, also in our future. To that end, Asante is launching an awareness campaign to encourage our employees and the broader community to get immunized against the virus that causes COVID-19.

With the theme “Help Bring Us Back Together,” the campaign is part educational, part aspirational as we look toward a future without COVID-19.

The campaign begins this month, focusing first on Asante’s 6,200 employees, who serve a dual role as health care providers and public health ambassadors.

A recent survey found that more than a third of Asante employees are hesitant to get the vaccine out of safety concerns or skepticism. In educational articles, videos and webinars, Asante medical experts will explain the science behind the vaccines and dispel some of the myths around the development of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, which were granted emergency use authorization by the FDA.

All Asante employees are encouraged to schedule a vaccine.

As the vaccines become more widely available, Asante’s campaign will reach out to the broader community through education and inspirational advertising that shows the lives we can resume once the pandemic has ended.

“Asante recognizes that ‘returning to normal’ will take many months, and that a vaccine will not eliminate the need to wear masks, wash our hands and physically distance in the near term,” said Kimberly Schauer, director of Asante Communications and Marketing. “But over time, immunization will help defeat the pandemic. This campaign looks toward the future when we can restore our family traditions, rebuild our economy and regain the lives we once had.”
