Amanda Kotler grew up just outside of Klamath Falls in Keno, Oregon, a town of 1,000 named after its first postmaster’s beloved bird dog. So it was fitting that when a brief illness forced CEO Scott Kelly to bow out of Oregon Institute of Technology’s commencement speech on June 10, the chief nursing officer and Henley High School graduate would step in.
In a moving speech that provided both inspiration and practical advice, Kotler shared with the College of Health, Arts and Sciences graduates what she has learned since leaving Keno.
