AACH surgical staff pays their own tribute to Asante

For weeks, Asante leaders and the broader community have been giving thanks to the frontline employees braving the COVID-19 health crisis.

Recently, the staff in AACH’s Surgical Services returned the gesture with a photo thank-you of their own. The staff was moved by Asante leaders’ response to the COVID-19 crisis — particularly for keeping them informed and providing financial support while surgical volumes were low due to restrictions on elective procedures.

“They came up with the idea of sending a picture of them, while social distancing, as you see,” said team leader James Kamps. “The picture, while very nice, falls far short of how they feel. They understand that this was not an easy thing for Asante to do.

“They have told me over and over how they feel more now than ever an important part of the Asante family. I have heard how in these stressful times, Asante took a huge worry from them. They feel valued by Asante and are excited to be back to work.”
