10 things to know about Kelsey Mattson

The new manager of Infusion Therapy at Spears Cancer Center finds a perfect match for her passion and her skills.

As part of an ongoing series, Asante News features leaders who have recently joined the organization or employees who have been promoted to a manager, director or executive position.

A former Asante nurse navigator, Kelly Mattson rejoined our system from Hematology Oncology Associates. In less than a year she was promoted from supervisor to manager of Infusion Therapy at the Helen K. Spears Cancer Center in Grants Pass. Mattson has been a registered nurse for 10 years and moved into leadership after earning a master’s degree in nursing focusing on clinical system leadership. She has a passion for oncology, improving patient care and reducing burnout among oncology nurses.

When not working, she keeps busy doing DIY projects around the house, crafting and listening to audiobooks.

She grew up in: “Sandy, Utah”

Best thing about her new job: “Problem-solving and working with oncology patients.”
